Hello, from your local Handyman. My name is Steve Parker. A little bit about me, I am a father of 15 wonderful children. Yes, you read that right 15! All are from my one and only amazing wife of 30 years. And no, no twins.
We moved to Austin in 2007, to start a deaf church out of South Austin Baptist Church. I was in need of a more sustainable income, so I partnered up with another pastor who was a handyman, and he taught me the tricks of the trade. The next year I started my own business, “My Handyman”.
In 2017, we moved to San Antonio, Tx in hopes of starting another deaf ministry or church. Once again, I found myself in need of extra income. I started working for Mr. Handyman, so I did not have to come up with my own leads. After 2 years of working under this brand (and 3 other Mr. Handyman companies moving to this area) the branch I was working for closed down. This complete process took about 5 months to happen. During that time, I decided to start my own business back up. God has truly blessed us in our endeavors! We started another church in New Braunfels meeting inside a karate dojo. Then, 4 years later, unbeknownst to us, a Christian school in Seguin, Tx closed down and graciously gave us their land. By God’s Amazing Grace, the church is doing great, and business is doing well also.
